No homework this week!
Congratulations 2 Navy on your busy week of presenting morning assembly prayer as well as presenting Wednesday afternoon assembly - fantastic effort! How appropriate that you are rewarded with a week off homework this week! :)
Week 6 has been declared 'Wellness Week' due to our extra long term, and gives the children a little break from their homework duties. It is expected and encouraged that the children continue to read every night - especially as they are being reading tested this week by the Literacy Support Staff. Every night of reading is valuable practise!
Have a wonderful week! :)

2 Navy thoroughly enjoyed their excursion to the Greenbank RSL. The children are to be commended on their manners whilst at the RSL - they represented our school admirably.
The children are eagerly looking forward to their upcoming assembly - if your child has a reading in their folder, please ensure they practise it at home. Family and friends are invited to attend our assembly on Wednesday. Assembly provides a valuable opportunity for the children to develop their presentation skills and share something which they have been learning about in class. We look forward to seeing you there! :)

This Wednesday is the Year 2 excursion to the Greenbank RSL. It is very important that your child arrives early to school on this day because we must mark the roll at the first bell at 8.35am and will be leaving the school at 8.45am. Any students who are late will be sent to another class for the morning session. Please also ensure that your child is wearing the full day uniform including the school hat. It has always proven to be an enjoyable excursion and the children benefit greatly from the experience of seeing first hand the relics in the RSL museum and being able to speak to the returned military service men and women from the RSL Sub-branch.
Have a great week! :)

Thank you to the families who were able to join us last week for our Wednesday morning liturgy. 2 Navy students led the liturgy prayerfully and respectfully - well done!
It was also lovely to see Alex, Jackson, Nate, Joel, Nash, Gabby and Zali at the ANZAC Day march at the Greenbank RSL, what a wonderful representation by 2 Navy. No doubt many more attended other ANZAC Day marches around the district, I trust that it was a day during which we all especially value the sacrifices made for the peace we enjoy.
