Meet Ms May
Hi, I'm Ms. Mary May and I am the Year 2 Navy teacher at St Bernardine's for 2015. I am very excited about getting to know the children in Year 2 and sharing a great learning environment with them.
I enjoy the energy and enthusiasm of children and believe that the learning environment should feature a happy and inspiring atmosphere. I encourage my students to be active inquirers and learn through cooperative hands-on experiences. My goal is to provide students with the skills necessary to progress as independent learners and move forward confidently through the education journey.
I recognise parents as the first educators of their children and value the contribution that families make towards their child's education. Positive partnerships between home life and school will provide students with the opportunity to experience success on a holistic basis. In my spare time I enjoy cooking, gardening and travelling. I especially look forward to getting to know you - the children and families, and the experiences that await throughout 2014!
