We have had a short but great first week in 2 Navy! Not only do the children have the excitement of a new classroom, they are also lucky enough to have a room with a view - being upstairs is a fun change! Everyone has settled in very well, catching up with familiar faces as well as establishing new friendships. This week the children sat the Pat M and Pat R maths, comprehension and spelling tests. This was a new experience for the children as it required test conditions and separate a-e answer sheets. Despite the challenges this posed, the children coped very well with their first experience of formal testing. The same tests will be conducted at the end of the year and will be used to collect important data that tracks student progress across their schooling from Years 2 to Year 6. On Friday, notes were sent home that outline the term ahead.
