Well done 2 Navy on leading our P-2 Ash Wednesday liturgy during the week - you all conducted yourselves in a prayerful and respectful manner. Thank you to the families who were able to join us, we appreciate you taking the time and effort to join us on such an important ceremony in the church calendar. Our Vision Statement will be presented in the church this Monday at 9.30am along with the other Year 2 and the Year 4 classes - families are most welcome to come and join us!
Our Lenten Caritas appeal is off to a great start with the children eager to contribute to our Caritas money box. The 'crown of thorn's on our prayer table represents the crown of thorns that Jesus was forced to wear on Good Friday. Each time a child makes a donation to our Caritas box, he or she removes a 'thorn' from our crown as a symbol of helping to ease Christ's pain through our gift of helping others. The child then adds a link with his or her name on it, to our 'chain of love', to represent each donation given with love. We look forward to measuring our chain of love at the end of each week to see how long we can make it 'grow'!
